Job summary

TLC Engineering Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Commissioning Specialist for our Melbourne, FL team. The role focuses on commissioning across projects with opportunities to work independently on smaller projects and guidance from seasoned Project Managers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive experience in MEP design / construction administration, commissioning, building operations, test and balance technician, DDC controls technician, or related industry experience.
• LEED accreditation preferred
• Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Computer hardware/software/network expertise as appropriate
• Ability to execute building commissioning and retro-commissioning tasks
• Commissioning Certification preferred (ACG CxT or CxA, or equivalent)
• Travel willingness (more than 50%)

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities on projects of various sizes with mentorship from senior staff.
• Participate in design reviews and move projects from design to functional testing.
• Coordinate testing, balancing, and start-up procedures with project teams.

The Commissioning Specialist is responsible for all sizes and types of projects, with the opportunity to work independently on smaller projects and the guidance and mentorship of experienced Project Managers and Commissioning Agents for more complex projects. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow your experience from design review to functional testing. TLC provides a defined career path and training at all levels.

Qualifications You’ll Need:
