Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead construction and commissioning quality activities on complex power generation and heavy industry projects. You will serve as the primary on-site quality interface with customers, contractors, and project teams.

You should have strong experience in NCRs, corrective actions, inspection and testing processes, and NDT methods; ISO 9001/QMS knowledge is a plus, with potential for contract-to-direct hire.

Qualifications

  • Experience on power generation, hydro, heavy industrial or EPC projects.
  • Experience managing NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection and testing processes.
  • ISO 9001 / QMS experience is a plus.
  • NDT Level II certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction, installation, testing, commissioning and turnover activities.
  • Serve as primary quality interface with customers, contractors and site teams.
  • Ensure quality requirements and inspection plans are implemented.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, audits, NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Review testing activities to meet project and customer requirements.
  • Support quality documentation and turnover packages.
  • Identify quality risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with construction and commissioning teams on field execution.

Are you an experienced Quality Manager, Construction Quality Manager, Site Quality Manager, or Commissioning Quality professional with a strong background in construction, power generation, heavy industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects?

We’re looking for experienced quality professionals to lead construction and commissioning quality activities while serving as a key, customer-facing representative throughout project execution.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Oversee quality activities throughout construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and project turnover
  • Serve as a primary quality interface with customers, contractors, subcontractors, site teams, and project leadership
  • Ensure quality requirements, inspection plans, acceptance criteria, and project specifications are properly implemented
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, customer witness points, audits, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation
  • Review and monitor inspection and testing activities to ensure work meets project and customer requirements
  • Support quality documentation, turnover packages, test records, inspection reports, and project closeout
  • Identify quality risks, drive corrective actions, and help prevent recurring issues
  • Work closely with construction and commissioning teams to ensure quality requirements are incorporated into field execution
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working on power generation, hydro, heavy industrial, EPC, infrastructure, manufacturing, or other complex construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction and commissioning inspection and testing processes
  • Comfortable working directly with customers and representing quality on site
  • Experience managing NCRs, corrective actions, root cause analysis, inspections, and quality documentation
  • NDT Level II experience is preferred, particularly NT, PT, or UT
  • Working knowledge of NDT methods and inspection practices is highly valued
  • ISO 9001/QMS experience is a plus
  • Army Corps of Engineers CQM certification is a plus; support is available for candidates who need to obtain it
  • Degree is preferred, but relevant field experience will be heavily valued
