Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver commissioning services that support LEED and sustainability goals.
  • Perform energy audits and identify opportunities for operational and carbon reductions.

Senior Commissioning Manager - Mission Critical Data Centers

Our client is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to join their growing teams in Dallas, Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA, playing a key role in the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data center developments. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee commissioning activities from design and construction through testing, handover, and operational readiness while supporting initiatives focused on energy efficiency, sustainability, and system performance.

As a trusted leader, you'll collaborate with owners, designers, contractors, equipment vendors, and testing specialists to ensure that critical facility systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead the full commissioning lifecycle from project planning through final turnover.
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, reports, testing procedures, deficiency logs, and project documentation.
  • Perform detailed design and construction reviews, identifying risks and driving issue resolution.

  • Deliver commissioning services that support LEED and sustainability objectives.
  • Perform energy audits, energy analysis, and identify opportunities for operational and carbon reduction improvements.
What we're looking for - required experience
  • Proven experience commissioning data center or other mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire / life safety systems, central utility plants, and critical infrastructure.
  • Experience developing commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, functional performance test scripts, and final commissioning reports.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices including ASHRAE, BCA, CCC, ASME, SMACNA, and LEED.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain project schedules in fast-paced environments.
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in commissioning, facility start-up, controls systems, facilities management, test and balance, MEP installation, retro-commissioning, or related fields.
  • Experience with energy efficiency, sustainability, energy auditing, or carbon reduction programs.
