Job summary

Edison Smart® is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to lead complex commissioning projects in mission-critical and industrial environments across the U.S. You will guide planning, oversee testing and startup, and ensure safe, on-time delivery with the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of electrical commissioning experience
• 3–5+ years leading commissioning teams
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and commissioning methodologies
• Experience with NEC, NFPA 70E and related standards
• Excellent leadership, communication and client management skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the U.S.

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to lead the delivery of complex electrical commissioning projects across mission-critical and industrial environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a commissioning professional with strong leadership skills who can manage teams, oversee testing activities, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical commissioning activities from planning through project completion.
• Manage and mentor a team of commissioning engineers and technicians.
• Oversee testing, validation, and startup of electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, protective relays, and control systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, design teams, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain commissioning documentation, test reports, and QA/QC records.
• Promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Act as the primary client contact throughout the commissioning phase.

What We\'re Looking For

• 12+ years of electrical commissioning experience with 3-5+ years leading commissioning teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, commissioning methodologies, and acceptance testing.
• Experience with NETA ATS/MTS, NEC, NFPA 70E, and related industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• NICET, CCP, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the U.S.
