Job summary

Darwin Recruitment seeks a Commissioning Manager to support commissioning and quality activities across data center projects. You will oversee commissioning through testing, verification, and handover, collaborating with QA/QC, construction, engineering, controls, vendors, and other project teams.

The role requires 3+ years in data center commissioning, with experience in hyperscale or colocation environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on commissioning experience in data centers.
• Experience in hyperscale or colocation data center environments.
• Experience across Greenfield and/or Brownfield data center projects.
• Strong understanding of data center commissioning and critical infrastructure systems.
• Experience with controls commissioning is desirable.
• Knowledge of Tritium control systems is advantageous.
• Experience with liquid cooling and CDU systems is desirable.
• Engineering background preferred; mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering considered.
• Candidates with US Naval Nuclear Power Program or equivalent backgrounds will be considered.
• Ability to operate independently and coordinate across project teams.

Responsibilities

Working Schedule – Site-based / local to project, travel between nearby sites may be required

Project focus

We are looking for a Commissioning Manager to support commissioning and quality activities across data center projects. You will oversee commissioning activities through testing, verification and handover, working closely with QA/QC, construction, engineering, controls, vendors, and other project teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating independently at site level and supporting one or multiple nearby projects.

Key skills and Experience required

• 3+ years of hands-on commissioning experience within data centers


• Proven commissioning experience within hyperscale or colocation data center environments


• Experience across Greenfield and/or Brownfield data center projects


• Strong understanding of data center commissioning and critical infrastructure systems


• Experience with controls commissioning is highly desirable


• Knowledge of Tritium control systems is advantageous


• Experience with liquid cooling and CDU systems is highly desirable


• Exposure to chip-to-chip or liquid-to-liquid cooling systems would be beneficial


• Engineering background preferred, with Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering considered


• Candidates with US Naval Nuclear Power Program or equivalent military engineering/construction backgrounds will also be considered


• Ability to operate independently, take ownership of commissioning activities, and work without extensive day-to-day supervision


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating across construction, engineering, QA/QC, vendors, and contractors
