Job summary

IPX Power is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager, Construction to oversee the commissioning phase of utility-scale PV and battery energy storage projects in the United States. You will guide testing, grid integration, and the handover to IPX's operations team, coordinating with EPCs, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to meet guarantees and drive successful commercial operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of commissioning/start-up engineering experience on utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage systems.
• Direct experience commissioning large-scale PV and BESS projects, including familiarity with power conversion systems, battery management, and testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Guide commissioning and grid integration through initial synchronization, commercial operation, and substantial completion.
• Lead performance and capacity testing with EPC Contractors and OEMs to meet guarantees and market participation.
• Manage EPC and OEM contracts, submittals, and performance guarantees.
• Coordinate interconnection, SCADA testing, and resource integration with TSOs, grids, and internal teams.
• Drive operational handover and ensure thorough documentation to IPX O&M team.
• Oversee site safety, compliance with safety plans, and environmental permitting requirements.
• Support cross-functional teams with commissioning reporting, engineering documents, and executive updates.
