Job summary

Legacy Professional Services is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead and coordinate commissioning activities for hyperscale data center projects from construction through testing, IST, and turnover.

You'll collaborate with project leadership, MEP teams, vendors, and client representatives to ensure critical systems are installed, tested, and ready for reliable operation. This role requires strong leadership, deep MEP knowledge, and experience in complex infrastructure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of commissioning/MEP construction or mission-critical delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Experience coordinating equipment startup, pre-functional inspections, testing, and turnover.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities from construction completion through final system acceptance and turnover.
• Develop, implement, and maintain commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, checklists, and documentation.
• Coordinate commissioning across mechanical, electrical, controls, life safety, and other building systems.
• Manage readiness, startup activities, functional testing, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
• Coordinate schedules with overall project timeline and turnover milestones.
• Lead readiness meetings and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and control narratives to support commissioning.
• Coordinate startup/testing with manufacturers, vendors, and client representatives.
• Identify, document, track, and drive resolution of commissioning deficiencies and open items.
• Ensure commissioning docs are complete and maintained per owner requirements.
