Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our Renewables Group.

You will lead testing and commissioning for utility-scale PV and battery storage projects across North America, coordinating with project teams, Engineers of Record, and subcontractors. The role requires travel to project sites up to 75% and a strong background in electrical engineering, PV systems, and energy storage.

Qualifications

• Background in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Background in Photovoltaic and Battery Storage Systems.

Responsibilities

• Travel domestically to US project locations; up to 75% expected.
• Lead commissioning activities for PV, storage, and substation projects.
• Coordinate with CEI project teams, Engineers of Record, and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain commissioning test procedures and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and PPC/SCADA requirements.
