Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) seeks a Commissioning Agent in Washington, DC to lead commissioning activities for energy-efficient building systems.

You will develop delivery plans, analyze Owner’s Project Requirements, Basis of Design, and construction documents, coordinating with users and project partners to ensure performance and quality. The role requires knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, with strong codes interpretation and CAD/BIM proficiency.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering or commensurate design/ construction experience.
• General understanding of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/piping.
• Knowledge of codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
• Experience operating computers and learning engineering calculation programs and CAD/BIM software.
• Valid driver’s license and state-required vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commissioning process delivery plans from Owner’s Project Requirements, Basis of Design, plans and specs, and information from users and project partners.
