Rimkus Consulting Group in Boston seeks a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to join the Commissioning Group. You will lead testing and commissioning of mechanical and smoke control systems in commercial buildings and perform payback calculations for energy measures.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in HVAC or energy management, and strong communication. EIT or PE is preferred; familiarity with building codes and controls is essential. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Building Facilities or related discipline.
• 5+ years in a related engineering field, HVAC, or energy management.
• EIT or PE preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Certifications: BCxP, CEM, etc.
• MEP/FP Systems Operation and Maintenance.
• Familiar with ICC Codes, NEC, NFPA 72, MA codes.

Responsabilités

• Lead testing and commissioning of mechanical and smoke control systems.
• Perform payback calculations and energy conservation analysis.
• Review MEP/architectural plans for conformance with codes and best practices.
• Report findings from site observations and testing.
• Create test procedures to evaluate building system performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues in the field.
• Coordinate with clients and other engineers.
