Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join the Mission Infrastructure Engineering team. You will support commissioning lifecycle across facility and infrastructure projects, working with senior engineers, contractors, and cross‑functional teams.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 years of commissioning experience or 7 years of hands‑on experience, plus a strong focus on safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance (OSHA/ITAR).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering with 3 years of commissioning experience or 7 years of hands-on experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in commissioning, startup, or systems testing in industrial/construction/manufacturing settings.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, equipment specs, and submittals.
• Experience generating and tracking punch lists from construction or commissioning contexts.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to produce field docs and test records.
• Highly organized with attention to detail across multiple projects.
• Knowledge of safety culture and regulatory environments (OSHA, ITAR).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning lifecycle across facility and infrastructure projects with plans, test scripts, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Facility Design Engineers, Process Engineers, Automation & Controls, Safety, and Compliance teams.
• Maintain presence on construction sites during build phases, witnessing installations and tracking punch lists.
• Assist in pre-functional and functional testing of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and process control systems.
• Troubleshoot with contractors and vendors to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
• Help maintain commissioning documentation and handoff packages for operations.
