Salas O’Brien is seeking a Commissioning Agent to deliver on-site and off-site commissioning services for our VSC Group. The role combines field work with office‑based technical development, focusing on quality and accurate procedures.

You will work remotely within Alberta with frequent travel, engaging in meetings, documenting progress, and ensuring fully functional systems at turnover. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• Electrical Engineering degree or technologist/technician diploma in a related field.
• 2+ years of MEP construction, commissioning and project management experience.
• Computer literacy with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Project.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Analytical, problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; travel in Alberta required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop detailed functional performance test procedures.
• Attend commissioning and related meetings, chair meetings, and take minutes.
• Complete onsite commissioning including completing commissioning forms and identifying deficiencies.
• Represent VSC Group at commissioning site meetings to present progress status and liaise with contractors and owners.

About Our Commissioning Team:

Vertical Start‑Up Commissioning Group (VSC) is dedicated to improving facility and system start‑ups through effective commissioning practices.

VSC is known in the industry for upholding the highest standards and methods for the commissioning process. Our team of engineers, technicians and technologists with many decades of practical “hands‑on” experience ensures that our customers receive fully operational and functioning systems at the time of turnover.

Job Summary:

Working on our commissioning team as a Commissioning Agent, you will be providing commissioning services to our clients which include both off‑site development work and on‑site physical verification services. This is an exciting career for someone who is passionate about quality and doing things right and is seeking an opportunity that offers both hands‑on field work and office technical development work.

In this role, you will:

• Work with the latest cloud‑based commissioning technology and software.
• Develop detailed functional performance test procedures.
• Attend commissioning and related meetings, chair meetings, and taking minutes.
• Complete onsite commissioning including completing commissioning forms and identifying deficiencies.
• Represent VSC Group at commissioning site meetings to present progress status, identify items that are required to be completed by contractors, and answer contractor and client/owner representative questions.

Required Skills/abilities:

• Completion of an Electrical Engineering degree / Technologist or Technician diploma/degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning and project management experience.
• Computer literacy with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Project.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Analytical, problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Travel throughout Alberta to perform commissioning services will be required.

Location: Remote, Alberta, Canada

Travel: Frequent travel is required.

Compensation $80,000.00 - $95,000.00
