Affiliated Engineers, Inc in Jacksonville invites a Commissioning Agent to join our team, reporting to our Gainesville office, to advance energy-efficient building solutions and greener futures.

You will resolve commissioning challenges, develop delivery plans from OPR/BOD and project documents, and apply codes and standards. Strong collaboration with clients and partners is essential.

Experience with HVAC, building systems, and BIM/CAD tools, plus a valid driver's license, are preferred.

As a Commissioning Agentin our Jacksonville office reporting to our Gainesville office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Here’s why we need you:

In this role, you will be responsible for resolving commissioning challenges and completing tasks assigned, including developing and implementing commissioning process delivery plans from information set forth in Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specification construction documents, as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.

Expertise of our most successfulCommissioning Agent:

• Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate design or construction experience.
• General understanding of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/piping.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
• Experience in computer operation and ability to learn engineering calculation programs, computer-aided drafting/BIM software for the purpose accessing and interpreting design requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and state required vehicle insurance.
