Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc seeks a Commissioning Agent in its Phoenix office to lead and execute commissioning for energy-efficient building projects. You will develop delivery plans from OPR/BOD, coordinate with project partners, and ensure compliance with codes and industry standards, delivering reliable building performance and client satisfaction.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to implement testing, documentation, and handover processes that maximize energy efficiency and occupant

Qualifications

  • Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering.
  • Understanding of building systems including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Ability to interpret codes and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
  • Experience with engineering calculation programs and CAD/BIM software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commissioning process delivery plans.
  • Resolve commissioning challenges and complete tasks.

Job description

As a Commissioning Agent in our Phoenix office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will be responsible for resolving commissioning challenges and completing tasks assigned, including developing and implementing commissioning process delivery plans from information set forth in Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specification construction documents, as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.

Expertise of our most successfulCommissioning Agent:
  • Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate design or construction experience.
  • General understanding of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/piping.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
  • Experience in computer operation and ability to learn engineering calculation programs, computer-aided drafting/BIM software for the purpose accessing and interpreting design requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and state required vehicle insurance.
