What You’ll Do

The City of Fredericksburg's Commissioner of the Revenue seeks motivated interns for a paid position. This role offers hands-on experience in municipal tax and revenue operations. Ideal candidates will have basic business accounting and finance skills and be enrolled in or recently graduated from a related program. Work assignments may consist of:

Tax and Financial Management

• Help reconcile tax filings
• Enter data into our system of record

Research and Data Analysis

• Conduct research and compile data for proactive problem-solving

Public Administration

• Organize and maintain public records
• Handle basic inquiries from City staff and the public

Communication and Correspondence

• Draft memos and correspondence
• Perform other related duties as assigned
