Job summary

Landmark Credit Union in Illinois seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator to serve as the first point of contact for members seeking mortgage guidance. You will manage applications to closing and build strong relationships with realtors and builders within the local community.

You must have five years of lending experience, two years as a commissioned MLO, and NMLS registration. The role requires excellent communication and confidentiality, with ongoing knowledge of loan products and underwriting

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of lending experience, including two years as a commissioned mortgage loan officer.
• Must have NMLS registration.
• Thorough understanding of mortgage products.
• Ability to use programs and systems for deposits and loans.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with realtors, builders and centers of influence in the local community.
• Cultivate branch relationships by attending meetings and coaching staff.
• Manage pipeline from origination through closing.
• Take mortgage loan applications, obtain credit reports and submit paperwork to underwriters.
• Cross-sell Landmark products and services and refer to Investment Center.
• Represent Landmark in the community through activities.
• Attend Mortgage Originator meetings.
• Address member problems and questions as needed.
• Stay up-to-date on loan products, processing procedures and underwriting guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
