Qualifications

• High school diploma with specialized schooling or on-the-job training.
• 5 years’ experience as a residential mortgage loan originator with established business contacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivation to meet and drive sales targets.
• Ability to develop meaningful relationships with internal and external customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Intermediate knowledge of business technology including mortgage loan operating systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Originate loans within annual goals; conduct pre-qualification interviews with borrowers.
• Submit new loan applications with documentation via Encompass for processing.
• Develop relationships with housing agencies, nonprofits, realtors, and lending businesses in low- to moderate-income communities.
• Attend workshops and events serving these entities; travel as needed.
• Maintain a Sales Activity Calendar/Report and regular branch visits.
• Cross-sell bank products and provide mortgage financing information.
