Job summary

Ian’s Pizza is hiring for production cooks at our Commissary Kitchen in Madison, WI. Roles are available as part-time and full-time with competitive hourly wages starting at $16 per hour, plus up to $2 extra for afternoon and Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities include preparing sauces, dressings, meats and vegetables, ensuring proper packaging and labeling, and maintaining cleanliness in a high-volume kitchen. Requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and reliable transportation for early starts.

About the Role

Working on the Production team, you’ll prepare sauces, dressings, meats, and vegetables for our restaurant locations while ensuring accurate packaging and labeling. We have a high standard for cleanliness and quality, so you’ll need to follow instructions and protocols carefully.

This is a high-volume production kitchen; be ready to do tasks such as preparing and grilling pounds of chicken for hours!

Production Job Requirements

• Able to be on your feet, walking and standing, for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 30lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally; this is an active job.
• Able to work independently and comfortable with routine, repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable using equipment, and exposed to temperature changes (hot ovens, grills, sharp knives, boiling pots, walk‑in coolers).
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work for early start times.
• Must be 18+ years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (IDs required at Orientation).

Production Scheduling

The Commissary Kitchen operates Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 6 AM – 8 PM and Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays from 6 AM – 2 PM.

Ideal production candidates will be available to work 1–2 afternoon shifts per week (12 PM – 8 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) and 2 Saturday shifts per month (6 AM – 2 PM).
