Job summary

Proto seeks a Senior Strategist to turn loosely framed client questions into defined analytical problems and build compelling models to evaluate ideas. You will design analyses from a blank workbook, size markets, and construct driver-based financial models.

You will lead teams, publish actionable strategies, and present to executive audiences with confidence. Based in New York metro, this role requires comfort with ambiguity, data wrangling in Python, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of client-side or consulting experience in corporate strategy or growth strategy.
• Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in economics, finance, engineering, business administration, accounting, or related disciplines preferred.
• Experience with large and messy data sets to identify insights and commercial opportunities.
• Advanced command of Excel and financial modeling, with models built from scratch that others can audit.

Responsibilities

• Turn client questions into defined analytical problems and build driving models.
• Design analyses from scratch and size markets bottom up with primary drivers.
• Lead and review contributions from Strategists and Associate Strategists.
• Present recommendations to executive audiences with senior team members.
• Develop parameterized models, dashboards, or scripted pipelines for clients.
• Collaborate with brand, innovation, and experience strategists and clients.
