Job summary

Veregy is a decarbonization leader providing energy transition services. The Commercial Solar Technician assists construction and maintenance by servicing PV systems, electrical wiring, and EV charging stations across contracted sites.

The role involves preventive and corrective PV maintenance, electrical testing, and documentation of results. OSHA training preferred; applicant must be authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; or 5–10 years on-the-job commercial solar service experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine PV maintenance on contracted solar assets.
• Manages visual & mechanical inspections and repairs.
• Performs electrical testing including megger, insulation resistance, and PV curve trace.
• Manages inverter maintenance and PV maintenance.
• Documents each PM visit with pictures and test results.
• Manages EV charger repair and documentation of service visits per customer requirements.
• Performs service calls and emergency service calls.
• Communicates service jobs to service coordinator.
• Documents work with pictures and test results (reports to be sent to the client).
• Maintains equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Assists with commissioning and energization of electrical equipment, inverters, and communication equipment.
• Oversees sub-contractors as needed.
