Job summary

Green Power Energy is hiring a Solar Service Technician/Surveyor to troubleshoot residential PV solar systems and install upgrades, battery backups, and EV charging equipment. You will perform site audits, gather technical data for design, and prepare permit-ready documents for installations.

A professional demeanor and strong customer service are essential. The role requires climbing rooftops, lifting up to 50 lbs, and valid driving credentials.

Qualifications

• Experience installing solar panels.
• Strong customer service skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to manage service tickets and coordinate with teams.
• Proficient in troubleshooting solar systems.
• Must be punctual with regular attendance.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting batteries, disconnects, conduit, panels and inverters.
• Inventory and tool management.
• Capable of using basic installation tools and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to work on shingles and flat roofs if needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot residential PV solar systems and install upgrades.
• Provide site auditing to gather data for project scope and design.
• Prepare permit-ready documents for installation.
• Communicate findings to Sales, Operations & Design Teams.
• Coordinate service work with Service Manager and field technicians.
• Maintain tool inventory and ensure safe operation of equipment.
