Job summary

Engineering Excellence in Elmhurst, IL seeks an HVAC Technician to diagnose, service, and start up commercial heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment. You will analyze customer concerns, deliver quality workmanship, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in commercial HVAC, EPA 608 license (universal preferred), strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Refrigeration license, Universal preferred.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and experience in the commercial HVAC field.
• Able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various projects.
• Adept at servicing commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as related accessories.
• Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of customer-focused service.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and production diagrams.
• The ability to work overtime and weekend hours as required.
• The successful incumbent must be able to meet the minimum requirements for our background check criteria.
• Minimum Experience: 2+ years
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED

Responsibilities

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer concerns in commercial environments.
• Service on commercial HVAC equipment and accessories; perform start-ups as required.
• Navigate smartphones to support business systems; utilize IVR and EE dispatchers.
• Handle delivery/removal of equipment needed for service work.
• Provide excellent service to commercial customers and maintain high satisfaction.
• Assist with material requisition forms to ensure truck stock levels.
• Perform maintenance, service IAQ products, soldering, welding, brazing, and minor fabrication.
• Overtime and weekend hours as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving customer concerns in commercial environments.
• Perform service on commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories.
• Perform start-ups on equipment as required.
• Ability to navigate and use smart phone to support business systems
• Proper use of all IVR systems and proper check in with EE dispatchers.
• Responsible for delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete service work.
• Responsible for providing excellent service to commercial customers and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer concerns, questions or problems in an effective manner.
• Prepare material requisition forms to ensure proper truck stock levels.
• Other duties include performing maintenance on equipment, servicing and/or cleaning IAQ products, soldering, welding, brazing, and performing minor field fabrication.
