Responsibilities

The selected candidate will serve as an Electrical Service / UPS Installation Systems Technician within M.C. Dean's Service & National Accounts Group. This group operates 24/7, 365 days a year, supporting our customers and is known for delivering The Ultimate Customer Experience. We provide world-class support and training, fostering a family-oriented culture focused on customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.

This regional service position requires regular travel across the United States. You will be responsible for electrical installations, including UPS systems servicing basic electrical equipment, following all applicable plans, specifications, and codes. Your role involves resolving customer electrical issues professionally and safely, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

• Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices according to blueprints and building plans.
• Installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining EMS systems, smart breakers, electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
• Inspecting installation sites and reviewing work orders, building plans, and manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures.
• Testing electrical systems and circuit continuity with appropriate test devices.
• Diagnosing malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct issues.
• Training and directing workers in the installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical wiring and equipment.
• This position involves approximately 60% travel across the U.S. at various locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 5+ years of experience in the electrical service industry, including experience installing UPS systems.

Candidate Expectations:

• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Proficient with smart devices and web-based applications.
• Committed to excellence and producing high-quality work.
• Wear OSHA-approved clothing, including pants and shirts covering shoulders.
• Punctuality, teamwork, and maintaining a safe work environment are essential.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications:

• Journeyman's license or equivalent.
• Additional certifications such as Lift and Aerial Training, NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, UPS installation experience.
