Position Overview :
The Senior Field Security Service Technician will play a pivotal role in servicing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting/diagnostics on access control equipment and IP-based video systems. This includes tasks such as working with electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems, and intercom systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skill, productivity, and adherence to Allied Universal Technology Services' (AUTS) core values at all times.
- Drive to commercial client sites with a company-issued vehicle to perform service, repair, troubleshoot, and detect issues with access control equipment and IP-based video security systems.
- Work with equipment including: electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems, and intercom systems.
- Troubleshoot system installations to identify issues and apply effective resolutions in accordance with company installation standards; repair physical security systems as needed to ensure operability and compliance with applicable building codes.
- Use all necessary documentation for tracking service-related issues.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools, analog and digital test equipment, and CCTV testing devices.
- Read and understand electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and related documents for low-voltage applications.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Provide remote diagnostic support via phone and online.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications :
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers.

- Understanding of Windows operating systems and IT network topology.
- Proactive, skilled, and maintain performance aligned with AUTS core values.
Requirements :
- Valid State driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders up to 16 feet high.
- Availability for scheduled on-call duties to respond to emergency service calls.
- High school diploma, vocational school, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of field experience in the electronic security system industry (access control, video management, intrusion detection, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical/electronic aptitude.
- Experience with systems such as Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Genetec, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, and others is preferred.
