Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a Commercial Installer to work on site with our commercial customers, installing and programming Integrated Security systems. The role covers dismantling and reconstructing equipment as needed, while ensuring safety and adherence to schematics.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, verify schedules with customers, prepare estimates, and supervise installations on larger projects. Union membership or willingness to join is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of electrical/electronic equipment experience.
• Experience working within the federal sector.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Must be a current union member or willing to join.

Responsibilities

• Installs devices and dismantles/reconstructs equipment as required by customers.
• Works safely to prevent injuries, protect property, and keep worksite clean.
• Contacts customers to verify installation schedules ahead of time.
• Prepares estimates per supervisor instructions and directives.
• Follows wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures, tests system operation with the monitoring center.
