Job summary

Vector Security is seeking a Commercial Sales Representative in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area to drive bookings and recurring revenue. You will prospect and present security solutions to commercial customers, manage proposals, and grow a robust pipeline.

The role requires strong prospecting, presentation and closing skills, plus a valid driver's license. Bachelor’s degree preferred; HS diploma required. Competitive compensation with benefits and a sign-on bonus based on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong presentation skills for complex integrated solutions in Large Commercial environments.
• Proven ability to close commercial proposals and negotiate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Sell Vector’s commercial solutions and achieve bookings, recurring revenue and profit margin targets.
• Educate customers about security solutions including video, intrusion, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Generate commercial proposals and maintain a pipeline equal to at least 4x monthly sales quotas.
• Collaborate with design and branch operations to define scope for large commercial installations.
• Develop strategies to market products to new segments and opportunities.
• Monitor market competition regarding pricing, products and delivery schedules.

SUMMARY:

Commercial Sales Representatives are responsible for achieving bookings and recurring revenue quotas, prospecting, presenting products, services and solutions to commercial customers and ensuring proper documentation (often electronic) for sales agreements and proposals. Commercial representatives are expected to cultivate ongoing business with existing customers and secure new large commercial clients.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for selling Vector’s commercial solutions and achieving bookings, recurring revenue and profit margin targets by proactively scheduling sales appointments with current and prospective commercial customers and ensuring offerings meet the needs of both Vector and the potential customer.
• Maintains in-depth product knowledge via ongoing training and required certifications. Educate customers about various commercial solutions including but not limited to video, intrusion, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Continuously generates commercial proposals andmaintainsa viablepipeline equal to at least 4 times monthly sales quotas. All proposals are tracked in the company’s CRM platform for management visibility.
• Works closely with commercial system design team and branch operations to ensure proper scope is defined for large commercial installations.
• Create strategies to market products to new consumers, includingidentifyingnew target market segments/opportunities.
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree -preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent -required.
• Preferred industry experience
• Prospecting Skills:
  • In order to expand our commercial business, it is important that Commercial sales r epresentatives be able to build new relationships and generate new logos for the company. This can be done via a variety of methods including leveraging Linkedin, social media, networking, working “Dodge” type reports, etc.
• Previous Sales Experience -preferred.
• Presentation Skills:
  • Ability to present complex integrated solutions that are common in Large Commercial environment.
• Closing Skills:
  • Must be able to close commercial proposals at a rate deemed acceptable by management, overcome objections, have strong negotiation skills.
• Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record -required.
