Job summary

Vector Security, Inc in Nashville, TN is seeking a Commercial Sales Representative to achieve bookings and recurring revenue by selling security solutions to commercial customers. You will build relationships, present products and services, and maintain proper documentation for proposals.

You’ll educate customers on security options (video, intrusion, access control, fire alarms) and cultivate new logos while servicing existing clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or high school diploma/equivalent required.
• Prospecting skills to develop new relationships and logos.
• Strong presentation abilities to convey complex security solutions.
• Ability to close commercial proposals and negotiate effectively.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Sell Vector’s commercial security solutions to new and existing customers.
• Achieve bookings, recurring revenue, and profit targets.
• Schedule sales appointments and ensure offerings meet customer needs.
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge through training and certifications.
• Create and manage a strong sales pipeline in the CRM, at least 4x monthly quotas.
• Collaborate with design and branch operations on large installations.

SUMMARY:

Commercial Sales Representatives are responsible for achieving bookings and recurring revenue quotas, prospecting, presenting products , services and solutions to commercial customers and ensuring proper documentation (often electronic) for sales agreements and proposals . C ommercial representatives are expected to cultivate ongoing business with existing customers and secure new large commercial clients .

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for selling Vector’s commercial solutions and achieving bookings , recurring revenue and profit margin targets by proactively scheduling sales appointments with current and prospective commercial customers and ensuring offerings meet the needs of both Vector and the potential customer.
• Maintains in-depth product knowledge via ongoing training and required certifications. Educate customers about various commercial solutions including but not limited to video, intrusion, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Continuously generates commercial proposals andmaintainsa viablepipeline equal to at least 4 times monthly sales quotas. All proposals are tracked in the company’s CRM platform for management visibility.
• Works closely with commercial system design team and branch operations to ensure proper scope is defined for large commercial installations.
• Create strategies to market products to new consumers, includingidentifyingnew target market segments/opportunities.
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's Degree -preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent -required.
• Prospecting Skills:
  • In order to expand our commercial business, it is important that Commercial sales r epresentatives be able to build new relationships and generate new logos for the company. This can be done via a variety of methods including leveraging Linkedin , social media, networking, working “Dodge” type reports, etc.
• Presentation Skills:
  • Ability to present complex integrated solutions that are common in Large Commercial environment.
• Closing Skills:
  • Must be able to close commercial proposals at a rate deemed acceptable by management , overcome objections , have strong negotiation skills.
• Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record -required.
