AGS is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new business, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and driving revenue growth through consistent sales efforts. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong background in freight forwarding, international trade lanes, and account management. The Sales Representative will play a key role in expanding AGS's customer base and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively seek out and develop new customers, with a target of acquiring a minimum of two new accounts per month that generate recurring business.
  • Demonstrate the ability to close deals with international customers and maintain a strong understanding of selling within international trade lanes.
  • Provide consistent engagement with existing customers to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage sales territory coverage to ensure sufficient customer contact aligned with the company’s business plan.
  • Build and maintain long-term account relationships to foster customer loyalty.
  • Communicate AGS's products, services, pricing, policies, and any operational changes to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in obtaining credit information and perform collection activities when necessary to support the finance department.
  • Gather and share competitive intelligence regarding services, products, and pricing with management.
  • Represent AGS at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and acquire new business opportunities.
  • Accurately maintain all customer information, contact details, and call reports in the company’s CRM system.
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales metrics and performance goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in sales within the freight forwarding or logistics industry, or a minimum of 7 years of related sales experience with a strong track record of closing new accounts.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight forwarding operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, industry regulations, and technical documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear business correspondence and deliver formal presentations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, management, and the general public.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed quarterly sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems to track customer information and manage pipelines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to adhering to company policies, safety guidelines, and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
