Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a sales-focused professional to cover a designated territory, selling tires and related services. You will quote prices, write orders, and demonstrate new merchandise, highlighting advantages.

You’ll report activity and results regularly to management and may assist with store operations within limited hours. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to travel locally, and familiarity with sales techniques.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Sales, tire industry, management experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to travel locally to provide customer support.
• Familiarity with sales techniques and pipeline management.
• Self-motivated with strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Writing up tires to be retreaded for accounts or for stock.
• Demonstrates new merchandise, showing advantages or special features of products.
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
• May assist with sales and service work, store inventories and miscellaneous functions within the store but is limited to not more than 20% of weekly hours worked by store non-exempt employees in performing duties not directly related to commercial sales in any week.
• Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and company policies.
• Any other duties as assigned.
