Job summary

R3 Roofing & Exteriors is seeking a Commercial Sales Project Manager to expand our commercial division in Urbandale, IA. You will manage projects from prospecting to finish, build client relationships, and drive profitability while ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial roofing estimating experience, can read blueprints, and leverage estimating software. Training is provided for our internal SOPs and project management systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial roofing estimating, including material take-offs and pricing strategy.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new commercial roofing opportunities through business development and relationship building.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, managers, general contractors, and key stakeholders.
• Prepare accurate commercial roofing estimates, including material take-offs, labor, equipment, and pricing strategy.
• Develop proposals and revise estimates based on scope changes or client feedback.
• Manage commercial roofing projects from contract through completion.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and timelines.
• Maintain organized project documentation including contracts, drawings, specifications, submittals, and correspondence.
• Provide regular updates to leadership regarding project status, profitability, and timelines.
• Resolve project challenges proactively to keep jobs on track and clients informed.
