Job summary

Tecta America Zero Company LLC is hiring an in-office Project Engineer to support commercial roofing projects from startup through closeout in Ohio (Columbus/Dayton/Cincinnati). The role provides administrative and technical support to Project Managers, manages submittals, warranties, and project closeout packages, and uses Navision and CAD tools.

Responsibilities include preparing submittals, RFIs, work orders, and closeout documentation, coordinating with GC, Owner, and consultants, and

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction or commercial roofing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Experience preparing construction submittals and project documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) or similar ERP software.
• Experience with CAD software and electronic plan takeoffs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit RFIs as required.
• Review project specifications and gather all required product data, shop drawings, certifications, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and submit complete submittal packages to the GC, Owner, or Consultant per project specs.
• Track submittal status and communicate with the General Contractor to ensure timely review and approval.
• Revise and resubmit submittals to address review comments and customer requirements.
• Warranty administration and processing with roofing manufacturers.
• Create detailed work orders based on project scope and PM direction; enter into Navision.
• Assemble project packets with submittals, drawings, safety information, and documentation.
• Verify project documentation in Navision during closeout; assemble warranty and owner manuals.
