Job summary

You will support sales and project teams, communicate with clients and vendors, and help with pre-bid to handoff processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare cost estimates from blueprints and documentation.
• Experience estimating roofing projects and submitting proposals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet tools.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and set objectives for duties assigned.
• Estimate job costs and submit proposals for review.
• Create/show Drawings; write submittal letters.
• Obtain product data sheets and samples.
• Track bids using a bid log and monitor total bids closed.
• Ensure processes from pre-bid to handoff are followed.
• Draft proposals to General Contractors and private clients.
• Be accountable for goals, decisions, and bids.
• Assess cost effectiveness and track costs as projects develop.
• Consult with clients, vendors and engineers to resolve issues.
• Coordinate changes with engineers, architects, and owners.
• Prepare estimates for selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Cooperate with Project Management, Service, and Office Departments.
• Assist in budget development for operations.
