Job summary

Technique Roofing Systems LLC is seeking a Business Development Representative for commercial roofing sales. The role focuses on reroof and service sales, building lasting relationships with commercial clients, and collaborating with estimating and operations to protect margins.

The ideal candidate will manage a robust sales pipeline, conduct site visits, and present value-based proposals to clients while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial roofing sales experience OR 5+ years of B2B construction sales.
• History of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems and scopes of work.
• Disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting.
• Ability to sell on value and protect margins.
• Strong communication, organizational, and client relationship skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites regularly.
• Existing relationships with building owners, property managers, or GCs (preferred).
• Experience with CRM platforms for pipeline and activity tracking (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new commercial roofing opportunities across reroof segments
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of active opportunities
• Conduct site visits, roof inspections, and client meetings to identify project scopes
• Prepare and present proposals and value-based solutions to commercial customers
• Partner with estimating and operations to ensure accurate scoping and smooth project delivery
• Close sales while maintaining target gross margins
