Job summary

RSC Mechanical is seeking experienced Refrigeration Service Technicians to join our expanding team. This family-owned firm provides long-term career stability and invests in its technicians across the United States.

Technicians install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including CO₂ rack systems, with on-call responsibilities and travel opportunities across the U.S. A valid license, EPA certification, and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC/refrigeration systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; extensive driving is a key part of the role.
• Technicians are expected to supply their own standard hand tools.
• Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and management.
• Able to work under pressure in fast-paced or high-stress environments.
• Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, parallel rack systems).
• Preferred experience with CO₂ refrigeration rack systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transcritical and subcritical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and system checks.
• Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Replace or repair compressors, motors, fans, and other key components.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
