Metro Refrigeration is a San Diego-based, full-service maintenance and repair company specializing in refrigeration and HVAC systems for restaurants, grocers, and retailers. We seek a skilled field technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install equipment in the field, maintaining high service standards.

The ideal candidate has EPA certification, 3 years of HVAC experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work rotating on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience as refrigeration/HVAC equipment technician.
• EPA certification required.
• CEFESA certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and tools for the trade.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment.
• Provide high-level service and clearly communicate needs to customers and management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Document services performed and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with management to obtain needed parts.
• Communicate with manufacturers to diagnose issues.
• Install ordered parts in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain productivity.
