WINDY CITY EQUIPMENT SERVICE INC is seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration & Food Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, and related equipment in the Houston area. You will work independently in the field, coordinating with dispatch and parts teams to ensure first-time fixes and strong customer communication.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience, EPA certification, and a willingness to handle after-hours and weekend

Qualifications

• 3+ years Commercial Refrigeration or Food Equipment service field experience.
• EPA Certification required.
• Comfortable running after-hours and weekend emergency calls.
• Professionalism and clear customer communication.
• Able to work independently, but collaborate when needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, and line cooling.
• Work independently in the field, coordinating with dispatch, parts, and other techs.
• Use work-order video on every job to document progress and educate customers.
• Explain issues and solutions clearly to keep customers informed.
• Leave every job site better than you found it.
• Diagnose and repair hot-side equipment: fryers, ovens, griddles, steamers, dish machines.
