Job summary

CoolSys is hiring a Service Tech to assist in repairing and overhauling refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment for a broad base of customers. You will work on commercial refrigeration systems and contribute to timely, quality service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, EPA refrigeration certification, and 3+ years supermarket refrigeration experience. Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to lift 60 lbs, and be on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• EPA refrigeration certification is required.
• Trade/technical certification is a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years of supermarket/commercial refrigeration service.
• Experience with supermarket equipment is a strong plus.
• Must have a good driving record and work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is expected.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and sit/stand for hours.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul refrigeration, HVAC and related equipment.
• Service compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and controls.
• Provide preventative maintenance and diagnose malfunctions.
• Test systems using electrical and mechanical methods.
• Maintain legible work history records.
• Process job tickets and coordinate with departments.
• Assist with pickup, delivery, and installation of cases.
• Drive company vehicle safely and support startups of new installations.
