Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a skilled Service Technician to repair and overhaul commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and work with a diverse set of systems at customer sites.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in supermarket refrigeration, EPA certification, and the ability to lift 60 lbs and work independently. This role includes on-call shifts and driving to client locations across the service area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA refrigeration certification required.
• Vocational/technical or trade school certification is a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years in supermarket/commercial refrigeration service.
• Experience with supermarket equipment, cases, and walk-ins is a strong plus.
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is required.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to meet customer needs.
• Repair components: compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices safely.
• Provide preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Test malfunctioning systems and document work performed.
• Drive company vehicle safely and perform on-site installations when needed.
• Process job tickets and coordinate with departments to support projects.
• Support by delivering and installing cases as required.
