Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support our attorneys in handling complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. This is a permanent, full-time position, ideal for someone with substantial experience in commercial real estate law who is looking to make an impact at a highly reputable firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and organizing commercial real estate contracts, leases, and related documents.
  2. Manage all phases of real estate transactions, including due diligence, title reviews, document preparation, and closing coordination.
  3. Coordinate the preparation and filing of documents with government agencies and other entities as required.
  4. Conduct title and survey reviews, and assist with preparation of title commitments and exceptions.
  5. Prepare closing documents and assist with post-closing tasks, such as recording documents and managing file documentation.
  6. Assist in negotiating commercial leases and preparing lease documentation.
  7. Support attorneys in the preparation of documents for real estate financing, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  8. Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and deadlines are met.
  9. Communicate with clients, real estate brokers, title companies, and other third parties involved in transactions.
  10. Provide administrative support, including calendar management and managing document flow for transactions.
  11. Conduct legal research and assist with document drafting as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal.
  3. Extensive knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
  4. Strong understanding of title and survey review processes.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as real estate-specific software and case management systems.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with attorneys and clients.
  9. Positive attitude and a strong commitment to client service.
