Job description

Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

The law firm of Johnston, Allison & Hord is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with real estate paralegal experience to join our team. You will work with our attorneys in a dynamic commercial real estate practice. Relevant responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinating title searches, surveys, environmental inspections, appraisals, UCC searches, Zoning Verification Letters, and Will Serve Utility Letters with third parties.
  2. Assisting with drafting Purchase and Sale Agreements, Leases, and Amendments based on Letters of Intent.
  3. Preparing and tracking closing checklists and transactional documents (Deeds, Waivers, Title Objection Letters, etc.) from finalized agreements through the completion of closing binders.
  4. Participating in and attending closings, including disbursement of closing funds.
  5. Searching and obtaining documents from governmental websites (Register of Deeds, Secretary of State).

This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, accurate typing and proofreading abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate must be technologically savvy, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Advanced Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and SoftPro.

A paralegal certificate is required. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package.
