Trueline’s client, a well-regarded full-service law firm with a strong presence in the Southeast, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join their Charleston, SC team. In this pivotal role, you’ll advise on a wide range of commercial real estate matters and help drive successful closings and transactions.

What You’ll Do as the Mid-Level Real Estate Associate:

• Lead client engagements involving acquisitions, dispositions, real property financings, and real estate-backed equity investments
• Draft, negotiate, and finalize leases, development agreements, zoning filings, and joint venture arrangements
• Counsel commercial and institutional clients—including developers, institutional investors, and lenders—on complex zoning, entitlement, and land-use challenges
• Manage property tax appeals and workforce housing agreements with local authorities
• Oversee matter workflow independently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery through closing

Must-Haves as the Mid-Level Real Estate Associate:

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active or pending eligibility for the South Carolina Bar
• Minimum of five years’ experience practicing commercial real estate law, with demonstrated success on complex transactions
• Strong technical skill in real estate finance, zoning, entitlements, leasing, and development
• Proven track record representing developers, lenders, joint venture partners, or institutional clients

Nice-to-Haves as the Mid-Level Real Estate Associate:

• Prior involvement with institutional finance or multi-state development matters
• Familiarity with workforce housing agreements or municipal development incentives
