Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school is required.

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills; due diligence experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of CRE transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and closings.
• Draft and negotiate real estate documents.
• Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, and other transaction participants.
• Review title, survey, and other due diligence materials.
• Provide hands-on deal experience with direct client interaction.

Our full service client is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its Hartford office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a midlevel transactional attorney looking to take on significant client responsibility while working on sophisticated commercial real estate matters involving acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and closings.

The role offers hands-on deal experience, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative and collegial environment.

Role Overview

The associate will handle a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including:

• Acquisitions and dispositions
• Office, retail, and industrial leasing
• Purchase and sale agreements
• Title and survey review
• Transaction closings
• Drafting and negotiating real estate documents
• Coordinating with clients, lenders, title companies, and other transaction participants

Real estate finance experience is a plus.

Candidate Profile

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active Connecticut Bar admission required
• 3-5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, development, and/or commercial leasing
• Strong closing experience
• Experience reviewing title, survey, and other due diligence materials
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Deep understanding of commercial real estate law and closing mechanics
• Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating with a broader team
• Highly motivated with strong communication and organizational skills
