Orion Placement is assisting a well‑established Greenwich, CT law firm in recruiting an experienced attorney for sophisticated commercial real estate and corporate transactions. The role emphasizes ownership of matters from drafting through closing and direct partnership with experienced mentors.

You will handle leases, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing, while managing day‑to‑day responsibilities and client relationships. Connecticut bar is required; NJ/NY a plus. Hybrid after 90 days.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to practice in Connecticut required; NY and/or NJ admission a strong plus.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate and corporate transactions in a law firm setting.
• Experience with commercial leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, and financing transactions required.
• Familiarity with franchise‑related transactions or franchise finance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements including purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and related transaction documents
• Manage commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions from initial structuring through closing — coordinating with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel throughout
• Assist in structuring and negotiating corporate finance transactions including loan documentation and related agreements
• Represent borrowers and lenders in financing transactions, including those involving franchise businesses
• Conduct thorough due diligence including title and survey review, and coordinate with all transaction parties to keep deals on track
• Provide strategic guidance to clients on transactional matters and business objectives
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex matters while independently managing day‑to‑day responsibilities across your own docket

Location:

Based in our Greenwich, CT office, this role starts on-site and transitions to a hybrid schedule after 90 days — giving you the runway to build strong relationships with the team before enjoying the flexibility of a blended work arrangement. Connecticut bar admission required; NY and/or NJ admission a strong plus.

Note

This role requires 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate and corporate transactions, with hands‑on experience handling deals from drafting through closing. Connecticut bar admission is required. Candidates without a commercial real estate transactional background will not be considered.
