Description

Summary: The Insurance Account Executive Senior I possesses a high degree of product knowledge and technical expertise. They act independently with full responsibility for service and retention of a designated book of business including large, complex accounts. They develop and maintain client and carrier relationships and also direct new business and renewal marketing activities. These colleagues seek account rounding and referral opportunities, and prioritize effectively and respond in optimal time frames while working in a fast paced environment. Position reports to Section Manager.

Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Maintain responsibility for self-management and development.
  2. Meet with supervisor to ensure alignment and gain agreement on goals and performance standards.
  3. Record updates on goal achievements as indicated throughout year.
  4. Maintain excellent performance standards and act as role model and/or mentor to other colleagues.
  5. Represent Huntington Insurance as a product expert by staying current with industry changes, trends and opportunities.
  6. Maintain and develop product line knowledge through participation in educational opportunities.
  7. Act as a resource for continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Comply with corporate and agency policies and procedures and all subsequent updates.
  9. Adhere to agency service standards and timelines.
  10. Utilize agency technology and software applications including agency management systems, document management systems and workflows.
  11. Comply with procedures as outlined in the Huntington Employee Handbook.
  12. Provide Customer Service to Agency Clients.
  13. Respond to internal and external service inquiries within optimal time frames.
  14. Take ownership of client relationships, managing customer inquiries and problem resolution and responding in an optimal time frame.
  15. Coordinate and communicate client service needs, direct and assisting team members as needed.
  16. Conduct periodic exposure analysis reviews with clients and prospects.
  17. Prepare stewardship reports and risk management documents as needed.
  18. Provide guidance to other team members as needed.
  19. Coordinate the Delivery of Agency Products and Services.
  20. Coordinate, direct and oversee the marketing process independently or in conjunction with the producer and other team members.
  21. Work with clients and carriers to obtain necessary data throughout the marketing process.
  22. Submit quote requests and monitor carrier responses.
  23. Negotiate coverage pricing and conditions to meet client needs.
  24. Review carrier quotes and conditions to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  25. Deliver new business and renewal recommendations within the established time frame.
  26. Prepare and review client summary and proposal documents.
  27. Deliver client proposals and policies as requested.
  28. Submit new business and renewal orders to carrier and monitor receipt of coverage documents.
  29. Review proposals, policies, and other documents for quality assurance requirements in accordance with agency procedures.
  30. Schedule and conduct client appointments and meetings as needed.
  31. Participate in Agency Growth Initiatives.
  32. Identify account rounding coverage opportunities.
  33. Obtain and present quotes for recommended coverage.
  34. Seek cross sell and referral opportunities across product lines.
  35. Conduct or assist with new business prospecting activities.
  36. Maintain and update client and policy data per agency procedures.
  37. Utilize agency management systems, workflow applications and diary systems to ensure timely service and follow up.
  38. Document correspondence, conversations and tasks according to agency procedures.
  39. Assist in Colleague Development.
  40. Serve as product and technical expert and resource as requested.
  41. Assist with colleague training as requested.
  42. Participate in corporate projects and initiatives
  43. Assist with workflow development and implementation to support corporate initiatives.
  44. Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Insurance license and advanced insurance designation or equivalent

Exempt Status: Yes (not eligible for overtime pay)
