Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Commercial Project Manager (CPM) / Project Controller to own all commercial and financial aspects of complex projects. You will drive revenue recognition, budgeting, forecasting, and financial Close processes while collaborating with project management to meet contractual and financial targets.

Ideal candidates have a strong IFRS background, 5+ years in finance, and experience with SAP, Tableau, and Alteryx.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably with project management exposure.
• Strong IFRS knowledge; proficiency in SAP, MS Office; analytical tools like Alteryx and Tableau preferred.
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial partners and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel ~5% and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for all commercial and finance-related matters, including Accounting, Legal, Tax, and New Collaboration Model topics.
• Manage and optimize financial results with due professional care, including revenue, project gross profit, cash flow, assets, and financing instruments.
• Lead all aspects of monthly revenue recognition and the financial close process ensuring IFRS 15 compliance and internal controls.
• Prepare and present commercial documentation for project status meetings with accurate data, forecasts, and reporting.
• Support project management in risk assessment, non-conformance cost reduction, and lessons learned integration.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive solutions.
• Lead ad hoc requests as required.

Our Complex Projects organization is looking for a highly driven, self-motivated Commercial Project Manager (CPM) / Project Controller to join our team of CPMs! In this role, you will be responsible for all commercial aspects and project financials (controlling, reporting, and forecasting). You will work together with our project management organization with the main objective of completing projects according to our contractual obligations, project management standards, and applicable financial guidelines.

A strong attention to detail, the ability to think critically, and a collaborative mindset are critical traits for success in this role.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

What You Bring (requirements)

• · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• · 5+ years of professional experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably with experience in Project Management.
• · Strong understanding of IFRS, with proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and analytical tools like Alteryx and Tableau (preferred).
• · Ability to optimally communicate financial information to non-financial partners, work in a team-oriented environment, and lead multiple tasks under pressure to meet deadlines.
• · Must be able to travel approximately 5%.
• · Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
