Job summary

Omterra in Orlando seeks a Commercial Project Manager (CPM) to join the Finance team supporting Gas Services. You will work with the Project Manager to implement and execute large power plant projects typically ranging from $100 million to $500 million.

The role focuses on establishing financial frameworks, managing project costs and timing of invoices, and ensuring revenue recognition under US GAAP/IFRS. You will interact with customers and internal stakeholders to align on contracts and change

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business Administration/Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in business administration or finance, preferably with project management.
• Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and PoC accounting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure accurate project costs and pricing.
• Establish and maintain the financial framework for projects per contractual agreements.
• Manage project financials including monthly revenue recognition and invoicing.
• Handle all finance-related topics: Accounting, Legal, Tax, FX, and NCM.
• Forecast financial risks and opportunities to optimize margins.
• Prepare quarterly project reviews for executive management.
• Ensure contract requirements are met and provide customer-facing support on contract issues.
• Coordinate with external auditors on audit topics.

The Commercial Project Manager (CPM) is an integral part of the Finance team for the Gas Services Central business organization. The Commercial Project Manager is working together with the Project Manager to implement and execute large Power Plant Projects typically ranging from $100 million to $500 million.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Work in collaboration with Project manager to ensure accurate project costs and pricing according to defined guidelines.
• Establish and maintain the financial framework for projects based on contractual agreements during the ongoing execution phase.
• Responsible for project financials including monthly revenue recognition in compliance with defined guidelines and cash flow/payment plan and ensure timely generation of customer invoices.
• Full responsibility for all finance-related Project topics, including but not limited to handling Accounting, Legal, Tax, Foreign Exchange, and NCM
• Perform financial planning, assess risk and opportunities for financial impact while mitigating risk and optimizing profit margins.
• Prepare project review package and present on quarterly basis to executive management.
• Ensure achievement of contract requirements (e.g. performance guarantees, insurance, taxes, etc.); Face to the Customer and direct Customer interaction for Contractual topics or change order negotiations.
• Special assignments and interaction with external auditors for audit topics as required.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Business Administration/ Accounting or related field is required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Business Administration or in Finance, preferably with experience in Project Management; Candidates with more years of experience may be eligible for a higher-level position.
• Must have knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and Percentage of Completion (PoC) accounting.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office applications is required and SAP experience is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task while working with due dates
• Must be able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% is required; must have ability to acquire a passport.
