Job summary

gpac is recruiting an experienced Project Manager for a prominent Atlanta-based commercial construction firm. The role oversees ground-up projects from preconstruction to completion, with responsibility for schedules, budgets, and team coordination.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience, especially on $1M–$20M projects, and a strong background in construction processes, scheduling, and financials. Commercial experience preferred; APM background valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in construction.
• Experience as an Assistant Project Manager/APM is required.
• Experience managing projects from $1M–$20M.
• Commercial construction experience preferred.
• Diverse ground-up construction experience will be considered.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, and project financials.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
• Manage project costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications.
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and financial performance.
• Identify potential issues and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the company's quality standards.

A well-established commercial construction company based in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who has progressed from an Assistant Project Manager role to a Project Manager and is ready to take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Project Management experience, a strong background managing ground-up construction projects, and experience overseeing projects ranging from $1M-$20M. Commercial construction experience is preferred, but candidates with diverse ground-up project experience will be considered.
