Job summary

Hatch Ltd. is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Corporate, Commercial & Legal Services (U.S.) team in Pittsburgh.

The role provides practical commercial and corporate legal support to project managers and technical leaders across the United States. Working under senior attorneys, you will review and negotiate agreements, perform regulatory research, and assist with contract lifecycles while collaborating with procurement, HR, finance, and compliance.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate or equivalent from an accredited law school.
License to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (PA license preferred).
3+ years of relevant experience with a major law firm or in-house legal department.

Responsibilities

Assist with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements including professional services agreements, NDAs, and subcontracts.
Conduct legal research on U.S. federal, state, and local regulations relevant to capital projects and engineering services.
Prepare issue summaries, risk assessments, and recommended revisions for project teams.
Support contract lifecycle activities, including templates, approval workflows, and document management.
Assist with internal investigations, claim reviews, and fact development for dispute matters under supervision.
Collaborate with corporate functions on legal questions and policy applications.
Contribute to internal training materials on legal topics and risk mitigation.
Perform other tasks as assigned by senior lawyers in a fast-paced environment.
