Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience with a major law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong interest in commercial contracting, project delivery, and infrastructure/energy work.
  • Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and priorities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs and subcontracts.
  • Conduct legal research on U.S. federal, state, and local regulations relevant to capital projects and engineering services.
  • Prepare issue summaries, risk assessments, and recommended revisions for project teams.
  • Support contract lifecycle activities, including templates, approvals, and document management.
  • Assist with internal investigations, claim reviews, and fact development for dispute matters.
  • Collaborate with procurement, HR, finance, and compliance on legal questions and policy applications.
  • Contribute to internal training materials on legal topics and risk mitigation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by senior lawyers in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. In This Role, You Will
  • Assist senior counsel in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, including professional services agreements, NDAs, and subcontracts.
  • Conduct legal research on U.S. federal, state, and local regulations relevant to capital projects and engineering services.
  • Prepare issue summaries, risk assessments, and recommended revisions for project teams.
  • Support contract lifecycle activities, including use and development of templates, approval workflows, and document management.
  • Assist with internal investigations, claim reviews, and fact development for dispute matters under attorney supervision.
  • Collaborate with corporate functions (procurement, HR, finance, compliance) on legal questions and policy applications.
  • Contribute to internal training materials on legal topics and risk mitigation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by senior lawyers in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What You Bring
  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Pennsylvania license or ability to obtain PA licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience with a major law firm and/or the in-house legal department of a major corporation
  • Strong interest in commercial contracting, project delivery, and infrastructure/energy work.
  • Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong drafting precision.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize competing deadlines, and work collaboratively across disciplines.
