Job summary
Confidential Commercial General Contractor in Azusa, CA is seeking an organized Assistant Commercial Project Manager & Preconstruction Coordinator to support high-visibility projects. You will bridge preconstruction planning and on-site management, coordinating daily with senior PMs, clients, architects, and trade subcontractors.
You will own document control workflows, procurement tracking, and job costing across major retail brand projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in commercial construction coordination or admin.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
- Proficiency with MS Office and field software.
- Strong communication and organization.
Responsibilities
- Document Control: RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts.
- Coordinate between PMs, superintendents, client reps, and subs.
- Track CPM milestones and material lead times for on-time delivery.
- Procurement: source quotes, issue PO, verify lead times, coordinate deliveries.
- Monitor job costing logs and assist with closeout packages.
- Maintain safety files, COIs, and permit trackers.
- Attend OAC meetings, draft minutes, and track action items.
